2011 by the Numbers

by Kaylee Pare

Such an intriguing way to look at 2011. Style.com did a great job numbering off the most significant fashion events of 2011. It definitely stands out among the countless online galleries filled with the year’s greatest red carpet moments, magazine covers and runway collections. I’d love to know which intern was lucky enough to count the 900 tulips on look 17, ha! See the rest of the tally here.

Dream Big.

by Kaylee Pare

This is a great quote to kick off the weekend. Sometimes it’s important to remember that you can do anything if you just believe in yourself. No matter how much confidence others have in you, there’s nothing more powerful than the will sparking inside of you. But, it’s Friday, so don’t take yourself too seriously either. Have a magnificent weekend!

Girl Power

by Kaylee Pare

One night President Obama and his wife Michelle decided to do something out of routine and go for a casual dinner at a restaurant that wasn’t too luxurious. When they were seated, the owner of the restaurant asked the President’s Secret Service if he could please speak to the First Lady in private. They obliged and Michelle had a conversation with the owner. Following this conversation President Obama asked Michelle, “Why was he so interested in talking to you?” She mentioned that in her teenage years, he had been madly in love with her. President Obama then said, “So if you had married him, you would now be the owner of this lovely restaurant,” to which Michelle responded, “No. If I had married him, he would now be the President.”

by Kaylee Pare

Who doesn’t love a good movie?

There are so many inspirational, memorable and hilarious quotes from the millions of movies that have been made – I thought it would be fun to highlight some of my favourites every once and a while. If you have any suggestions, please send them along!

To kick things off, I go straight to the queen of innocent and enchanting moments in film – Miss Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday (1953).
