Top it Off

by Kaylee Pare

With March in our midst, I’m beginning to dream of the day when my bulky Winter coat can be traded in for a fitted wool blazer or a light Spring jacket. The novelty of sporting thinner layers that don’t contain down feathers really never gets old after months of Michelin-man-impersonations. One or two lovely statement frocks is what my Spring wardrobe needs for that revived feeling to truly last. My worn-out leather jacket will always be there, but a stand-out colour, some feather detail or a bold pattern certainly wouldn’t hurt. Whether an outfit is lacking in substance or it’s asking for a touch more texture, a unique jacket is the ultimate way to top it all off this Spring. Is your closet well stocked for the upcoming season?

Zara at Couture

by Kaylee Pare

Yesterday Olivia Palermo stepped out for the Stephane Rolland Couture show in a Zara dress that I tried on just a few weeks ago. I couldn’t resisting posting it with the photo I took in the fitting room! I love that she chose to accent the graphic floral dress with purple shoes and a bag. It was very hard to resist the dress but I opted for a few other purchases rather than this one, isn’t it beautiful though? The tulip skirt accent is beyond.

Shoulder Shock

by Kaylee Pare

To me it’s one of the sexiest parts of the human body, and it deserves a little attention- the shoulder. While Olivia Palermo’s bare back (above) may be your first point of notice, her beautiful petal-adorned shoulder is what really makes this outfit. Lately I’ve found that garments with shoulder accents have garnered my attention, and it struck me that it’s not often a matter of interest (ground-breaking, I know). So, this post is for every girl begging to show some love to their most under-appreciated joint (anyone?). Whether it’s some major embellishment, a touch of fur, or a cut-out, it’s a great way to transition to summer without having to expose your less-than-bronzed legs.
